How to - Point a Domain to Your MyC21 website.
Pointing a domain to your Myc21 website:
Quite simple, Century 21 web developers have done a wonderful job creating the My c21 site for Century 21 agents. I had the opportunity to help most of our agents in our Century 21 Elite Office in Pine Brook NJ to set up their sites. Let’s face it not everyone is a web geek. Setting up the site is a breeze. Create your business profile, ad a few photos, copy paste some of the useful iframes already provided by Century 21 in 1.2.3 you are done creating your web site. Before you go-ahead and point your new domain to your site you need to make sure that you’re complete the META TAGS they are at the bottom of each page that you created “You’ll Be Glad You Did Later”. You will need the Title META TAG, Description META TAG & Keyword META TAG. Once your site is up and running it’s time to get a domain name pointing to your new website. Obtaining a domain name is optional but it’s a good idea. Now there’s a few ways that you can get this done; forward your domain permanently to your site, forward your new domain to your site with masking, or point the domain to your site. For all practical purposes we are going to POINT THE Domain to your site simply said it’s just the best option “something to do with the way search engines look at your site.
The following procedure is based on my own experience with godday your domain provider may differ from this but it’s possibly going to be very close.
1. Login to your account;
2. Click on the My Account Tab;
3. Manage Domains;
4. Once you see the domain name you will see a link that says (Advance Details);
5. Look for DNS MANAGER in the new window that opened;
6. Under DNS MANAGER click on (Launch);
7. On the New Window that Opens the very first Item you will see is A (Host);
8. Hover your mouse pointer over the center cell then click to edit;
9. Century 21 Site will give your websites’ IP Address you need to replace the number that’s on the (Point to) Cell with the new number (i.e. ##.##.###.##).
10. Save your changes.
Go back you your Century 21 My 21 site and under the point domain tab enter your new domain name in the box provided save changes and publish the site. You are done; it might take a few hours for the changes to take effect or maybe not

Building Your Own Website
Creating a presence in the Internet for your business can become very costly. The reality is that not all small business or service provider can afford to pay a web consultant, web designer, programmer, SEO Company and a marketing specialist. That’s without exaggerating on the pursuit of Internet success you may need the services of at least two of the aforementioned. As an entrepreneur I learned that there are cost effective ways to tap to the Internet market. When I started in Real Estate in 2005 Internet wasn’t in my list of priorities for exposure & increasing my client base. After assisting to a seminar by a website development company I understood a few things and walked away from the meeting with a few Ideas. First I realized that it was very expensive, second I understood that I needed to be using a website as a marketing tool. Other things that I learned from that training were that if you are going to build a website it needed to be good, offer value to visitors & keep visitors interested. For the next few months after this meeting I began to work on building knowledge and learning how to build a practical website for my Real Estate Business. I knew I needed a place to host the site, a program to write the code, and some way to publish it to the Internet. I should mention that I did not have any prior web design experience or knew how to write the famous HTML browser language. Those terms were alien to my ears; not looking to get in to anything really technical with this blog post. The main objective of this information is to help you get started with your own web site. See if I was able to get it done so can you, all you need is the desire to get it done and some patience well lots of patience.
Where did I get started? I bought a book! the first book i read was Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML
The book is well organized and simple to understand, I learned some HTML basics and I was able to experiment using various
codes. After a while I was ready for something more challenging I read Advanced Professional Web Design: Techniques & Templates (CSS & XHTML) (Internet Series)
here's when I began to cook with oil! this book gave me various ideas and website templates to experiment with.
Anyways this is not about reading books or getting you to buy a ton of books, here are a few practical steps that you
can take to get started:
- You need to learn some basic HTML
- You need an HTML Editor - I recommend MS-SharePoint you can download it for free from MS
- You need a webhosting service like Yahoo-Small Business or Go daddy
- you need to buy a domain name relevant to your business
- Establish a website plan
- Relevant content
- You got a basic webpage
Some webhosting services offer easy to use website building tools, easy to use like drop click, copy paste and you are done
my experience is that if you are going to engage in building your own webpage/s is worth going the extra mile
and learn some basic HTML. You will be able to accomplish a lot more and get more creative. one of the sites that I
built from scratch is http://www.buyforeclosednj.com everything on this site was designed and build by me using
ms FrontPage. other WebPages I've done http://www.cplglobalmarketing.com
The point is that if can do so can you!
it takes some reading, patience and time but the outcome can be worth it.

Using Social Media to Boost Your Business Exposure
Using Social Media to Boost Your Business Exposure:
Recently I got an email from REALTOR.COM Marketing on how to build a business page/fan page for your business. Not only it was a great suggestion they shared some valuable tips on how to customize the page by using Facebook Markup Language
So why set your sights on Facebook as one of your marketing resources? The answer is quite simple; Facebook is probably one of the largest countries “cyber country” in the world with 500+/- Million members, advertiser and companies it becomes a powerful networking platform. Anyway this article is not about facebook demographics, let’s talk about some code and get you started with your own face book page. This tutorial is very basic and it’s probably for the very beginners with no experience creating a webpage/facebook page.
Step one: is to build your fan/business page: FBML don’t work with your regular FB profile. How you asked? Here’s a link that can help http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php, if you don’t have a face book profile you still can crate the page. If you already have facebook account you can link your new page to your current account. My suggestion is that if you have a FB account link it to your new fan page. Once you get to the create page just follow the steps!
Step two: now you want to customize your page ah! Well the good news is that your imagination is the limit you can do almost anything. I’ve seen some really impressive fan pages and I always wondered “How they do that?” well yes it takes a little know how and some HTML. Ok you already created your FB Fan Page: now you want to make sure that the program that allows you to create these powerful HTML pages is installed in your Fan Page. To install the program simply make sure that you are logged in to with your FB profile, do a search for FBML, once you identify the FBML page and open it click on the link that says “Add to my page” you will find this link right under the dummy image on the left. Once you do this you will see fireworks and confetti… nahhh Just kidding really nothing happens.
Step three: Go to your new page and click on “edit page” under your picture/company logo on the left. Once you click edit page a new window will open. On the left look for and click on the link that says “applications”. A new window will open and you will see a list of programs that are available. Look for the FBML icon and click on the link on the bottom of it that says “Go to Application”. Once you click go to application the editing window will open. Time to get your FBML on the way, don’t worry I discovered that you can get a lot done with HTML. If you already know some basic HTML you will be able to create hyper links, use pictures as backgrounds, change the background colors of your page, style links and font colors. Here’s some of the HTML codes that I personally use the following codes and they worked really well:
<hr />
< style="your style code "h1,h2,h3> </h1,h2,h3>
<div> </div>
<img scr="http://yourmagesamplelocation.c o m >
<p> </p>
I'm sure that there's a lot more but these will give you a good head strat, I hope this has been helpful if so I don't mind if you leave me a shoutout at my page or here on this blog.
Basically I build my page using these few HTML styles. You can check it out for your self and possible grab some ideas or leave me some suggestions. Visit my FB Page!!!
By the way did I mention that I don’t have any HTML formal training?

Making Socialmedia Work For YOU
In the past few years Real Estate Agents had to reinvent themselves & the way that you interact with your clients, prospects & referrals. More buyers and sellers are using the Internet to conduct their due diligence before they even call you. FACEBOOK, TRULIA, ACTIVERAIN, YOUTUBE, REALTOR.COM just to name a few, have become exuberantly more popular. There are as many Social Media Experts as there are Real Estate Agents, and everyone has something to offer at a price, it seems that Social Media training has become the new frontier for some that are not doing so well as real estate agents. Suddenly someone found a niche and deep pockets to dig in. By no means I'm against using social media to promote your business, branding, exposure and all to good stuff that comes with it: Stay in Touch with Past Clients, Network, Make new Contacts, Friends & Family or just play farmville. It's all GOOD!
But what's all the hype social media is not E=MC² it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out. If you do it consistently and dedicate certain amount of time to posting relevant content "hmm there goes that word (RELEVANT CONTENT)" on the regular basis you will start reaping the results. Yes playing farmville is fun but lets face it cyber farms is not going to translate in to LEADS. I've heard agents state that they have been using social media for a number of years some as much as it's been around but they have never benefited from it "hmmm they have the largest cyber farms imaginable". I personally say and it's my personal experience that you will reap what you sow. Leads translate to appointments to contracts to referrals, the outcome is based on the numbers and your ability to convert those leads in to appointments then in to buyers or sellers.
Talking a little more about RELEVANT CONTENT why do you/we blog? well the answer to that is simple; it's called exposure. Relevant content I define as what your write is what you become! If you want to attract an audience of first time homebuyers then your are going to write and post all you can about first time homebuyers, if you like to attract a specific market then you need to write and aim your blog posts to the desire market segment. You may consider becoming your neighborhood reporter, go to events, document neighborhood projects, take lots of pictures, and post post post, is work but it can be fun too you can make it a family affair I'm sure that your kids will appreciate you more and see you more often instead of text-messaging them "I'm in the office will be home in a while". The bottom line is that social media works and your don't need to be a computer guru to do it, if you are playing cyber games play the cybergraphics. Myself I'm did not receive any formal training on computers blogging or Internet marketing, over the years I've learned by trial and error. If I can do this so can you.
